Getting Started: Newbie =(

Hi!
I'm in a school project, developing a Java Application/Game to a
NOKIA phone with Symbian 60 system.

I'm totaly new into J2ME, and would like to ask how to get started etc.
I have programed some time in J2SEE to standard PC's but never to a mobilephone before.

To PC I have used Eclipse to program.
Now my question is, what program do I use to create "easy" java applications to a phone. What do I need to download etc, and how do I get started?

Please someone get me started, or give me a tutorial.

Which Series 60 phone do you have? Different SDKs for different generations of phones.

Series 60 pre-1st Edition (0.9), MIDP 1.0: 7650

The phone will probably be a Nokia 6630 with Symbian 60.

And the application that I want to make should be as much of "text" as possible, not much of GUI. Beacuse it will use the program called "TALKS".
It's a screenreader, that will read the text in the application, the Game that will be created will be used by blind people.

Any more hints?

Som petrib sade, få många SDK:r. Dom alla kommer normalt med en emulator. Du borde att försöka ditt program med alla emulator som du kan. Man kan leda dom ner från Nokias, Suns, och Symbians sidan.

SDK:en från Symbian kommer med mycket information över J2ME API och Nokias UI API också. Ser på nånting liksom Mobile Media API för att spela låt och så vidare. Nokias Development Suite har också många code examplar, några som är med Midi och .wav och andra.

Jag vet inte vad man kan göra för en spel för dom som inte kan se riktigt. Jag tror att det skulle har många wav, och kommer du ihåg att mobilar har inte så mycket minne? Det finns många begränsningar med mobilar, men det är varför dom är så roliga!

U can start using Nokia developer suite for J2ME,To emulate ur apps, Nokia PCSuite coud be used to transfer ur JAR to ur mobile device.
The User guide aloong with Nokia Developer suite will help in start Developing.
Also different Documents are available in Forum noikia ;which helps a new bie to start developing.

My fault, sorry.

For those interested in what was said, it was basically to get as many SDKs as you can, that Symbian's kit comes with lots of documentation, to take a look at the Mobile Media API for sound help, Nokia has lots of code examples for sound, and to remember that phones are restrictive due to little memory, but that's what makes it fun ;-).
