Developing answering machine on 6230i? possible or not?

I am new to java coding for mobile devicese, I wanted to know is it possible to develop a answering machine for series 40 version 2 nokia devices like 6230i or not?

As far as I know, no. You would need a phone with a high-level operating system (which is not limited to MIDP Java), instead.

In other words, a Series 60 or Series 80 device, for example.
