Help: canvas with theme background

Hi all,
I have little experience in dealing with graphics, so if anyone can help me....

When I create a J2ME canvas the background is actually the underlying theme.

Then I draw something in the canvas (say rectangles) .

Is there a way to restore the phone theme background when I erase the rectangles?

Hi all,

I am also interested if this is possible in s60 3rd edition.

Is it possible to fill a rectangle with a special color, which instructs the runtime to paint the theme background and not a solid color?
