J2ME/MDIP File Access (Create/Modify/Remove)

Hello!

I have questions to file-access problem:
1.Is there any common API for Java MIDP/CLDC devices for creating/moving/modyfing/deleting any "file-resources" like MIDlets/ringtones/pictures/SMS in the Java phones?
2. Which class provides such functionality ?
3. In which part of documentation should I search any description of my problem?
