Signing a Application (I got a CA Root Cert)

Hi everybody finaly I found someone who creates certs and have a CA root cert. Now I tried to sign my Application with this cert but everytime I whant to run it on the Phone returns the Message invalid Application. What is this about? What am I doing wrong?

Who did you get the code signing certificate from, exactly?

How did you sign the MIDlet, exactly?

The phone, by defauly, only support certs from specific authorities (VeriSign, Thawte, Baltimore & others).

And for gettign them signed, check also out the instructions on http://www.javaverified.com/

If you mean the validity of the Certificates, AFAIK, its not possible.

To set a validity date for your MIDlet, you can do it in your code, for eg : set a validity expiry date in the code and check it with current date.

14 days...is that some kind of trial (seems very short)?. Just out of interest, if I wanted to sign an application, how much would the appropriate certificate cost me? (say it needed to be valid for a year).
