CTelephony::NewL problem

Hi,
I am using Series 60 FP2 SDK, etel3rdparty.h and lib files.
I am finding that :

CTelephony *telephony=CTelephony::NewL()

is stopping under the emulator.
My purpose is to use:

CTelephony::GetSubscriberId() to obtain Cell ID

I am not able to proceed further due to the above problem.
Does anybody have an insight on this?

Alternatively, is there some other method from which I can get Cell ID from CBM.

CTelephony works fine enough with 3rd edition development. For 2nd edition, better you try MobInfo API. And Of course, you should check on device rather than on emulator for Subscriber ID and other network parameters you are looking for.

Ganesh is developing for 2nd edition where you can install without "Signing". It is required for 3rd edition development.

And moreover he is facing problem at initial stage before installation.
