    Hi,
Is there any limit on the number of GPRS connections on the device?
Also how many socket connections be opened on a single GPRS connction
or is it that one socket is bound to a single GPRS connection?
Also does this figure vary from one (Symbian OS version/device manufacturer)
    to another?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Assumption: By "GPRS connection" you mean connection via a single Access Point.

Is there any limit on the number of GPRS connections on the device?
There may be a limit by the 3G network to use 2 access points simultanesouly but the same access point could be used for multiple socket connections. The same device in non 3G mode may use multiple access points simultanesouly. It's an operator side configuration which results in this behaviour currently.

Also how many socket connections be opened on a single GPRS connction
or is it that one socket is bound to a single GPRS connection?

One socket is not bound to one access point. There are no theoretical limits to the number of socket connections that I'm aware of but it's limited to available memory.

Also does this figure vary from one (Symbian OS version/device manufacturer)
    to another?

Available memory may make the difference to the number of allowed socket connections.

Thanks a lot for the reply.
So this means i can use a single active GPRS connection to make
mutiple socket connections to different servers.
