I've been playing around with the source that comes with the d211 drivers for linux. The problem is that I'm unable to compile a working version of the ui. The original, ready-compiled binary (nokia_ctl) works just fine, but although I can compile it from source, it doesn't appear to work. All commands return an unknown ipc error.
The readme said that nokia has tested the ui with kernel 2.4.0 and I'm using 2.4.19 and SystemV type ipc. Might this be the problem?
I'm using GCC 2.95.3

I have also problems compliling a working version if nokia_ctl. enable_gsm and gsm enableGSMradio works fine but when try to send an SMS i get the following output with debug enabled:
Im trying to get connected with D211 / Linux, too. Presently I ve succeeded to get nokia_ctl OK, and I m able to send e.g. SMS. However, the ttyNCO does not activate (MODE=GSM). Following messages are generated during boot:
Sep 4 17:00:13 localhost cardmgr[949]: config error, file './nokia_cs.conf' line 1: no function bindings
Sep 4 17:00:14 localhost cardmgr[949]: + Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.18-3/pcmcia/nokia_cs.o will
taint the kernel: no license
Any idea for the error messages ?
For WLAN, I ve not done trial so far.
I m using Redhat 7.3 (kernel 2.4.18-3)
