Application icon not present in the Emulator

Hi Guys,

I am unable to get the icon of any new application in the emulator

I am using Borland C++ BuilderX & SDK 2.1 for Symbian 7.0s

I only have 1 SDK installled in my system & have checked all the settings

I have also checked the Apps folder under 'C:\Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v21\Epoc32\release\wins\udeb\z\system', where I also get the corresponding application's folder from where the Emulator picks up the application to display

However when I build the project, in its corresponding build log file that I get, the following message may be the problem

EDLL.LIB(UP_DLL.obj) : warning LNK4099: PDB "edll.pdb" was not found with "\Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v21\EPOC32\RELEASE\WINS\UDEB\EDLL.LIB" or at "C:\Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v21\EPOC32\BUILD\YOGSYMBIAN\SAMPLEEMULATOR\GROUP\SAMPLEEMULATOR\WINS\UDEB\edll.pdb"; linking object as if no debug info


Kindly help me out ASAP

have you checked that the aif file is made to the application folder in z drive as well ?

if not, try making it with commandline tools and copy-paste it to there.

Hi again,

Are u talking about the application folder present inside (Z:\System\Apps\) ?

If yes then i have checked the aif file being present there

Also I had checked the UIDs in .mmp, .rss & .pkg files of the application & found it to be same

However in a few earlier applications that I had made, the UIDs in 1 of those applications & my new applciation were the same

So tried changing the UIDs of my new application & got the icon in the emulator

However there is new problem now is that when i try to open the application in the emulator the program(application) doesnot come up

Any ideas on that, please help...

very easy,

compile your application for the target and transfer the AIF file (which contain the icon) into : \series60\epoc32\release\wins\udeb\z\system\apps\your application
