    I wnat to upgrade my nokia 6230i FirmWare from
    v3.30 --> v3.40 at using my USB cable ... can i do that.

    Today there is no way for you to do it on your own with the regular USB cable only (the firmware files are also not available legally).

    I do not remember seeing 6230i being capable of this. But you could check from here
