Programming Push Initiator

Hi,
I've installed Activ Server+Activ Alert. Is it possible to create an external program written in Delphi or VB that acts like Push Initiator for Toolkit?
Is there any specific port that accept Push Protocol?

Yes it is possible,
I have written a java servlet which initiates SI,SL messages to Nokia Active Server through the sms bearer that is attached to the GW.

I have also some java applications that encodes SI and SL messages without using Nokia Activ server. If you need further information just drop me a line..
