SMS TONE

Hi,
i have developed a application to monite the incomming message. and deal with the message that i interesting. it's work well. but there is a problem.
just when a message arrived, the phone will paly the default sms tone. but i
don't want the sms tone be played. How i do it?
Someone can help me!!!

I tried this issue and did not succeed. Later on I found some topic in the forum that it is possible if you mute the phone as soon as the sms arrives for a short period and activate again. I did not try it myself. But if you put some test screen print while ur sms arrives, you will see that first it prints and then plays sms tone. So it must be possible to mute the phone when it arrives. You probably need audio api's to mute the phone (should not be difficult).

I think it can be done by using CMdaAudioPlayerUtility class. You can set the volume zero which means mute for current playback session. I never work on any kind of audio stuff. So I might be wrong. You may try other forums or book for this purpose.
