release SDK for 3rd edition and CW problem

I just installed release version of S60 3rd edition SDK. When try to compile LIB with codewarrior it gave me theese messages:

tool exit status == 255
EPOCROOT must end with a backslash.

This is when codewarrior executes 'ar'.

I try to set epocroot in system variables but this dosen't help.

I get the same message. Did you find a solution for this problem?

Creating a lib for the UDEB target works fine but not for GCCE.

remove all enviroment variables setting epocroot and has epoc32 in path setting. ie remove \symbian\8.1a\s60_fp3\epoc32\tools etc...

Then set up your enviroment using devices.xml file and 'devices' command.

Hi guys,
Iam facing the same problem.
ive removed epocroot env variabale as said by billbonney.
But still am getting the same message and libraries are not created.
Please update me on how to fix this issue

did you make sure that any path that has 'epoc32' in it is removed from the 'path' enviroment variable. It may be benificial to restart your machine after wards

my path variable settings are

PATH=C:\APPS\codewarrior_3.1\Bin;C:\APPS\codewarrior_3.1\Symbian_Tools\Command_Line_Tools;C:\APPS\actperl_5.6.1_635\bin\;C:\APPS\rvct_2
.2_503\bin;C:\APPS\rvct_2.1_416\bin;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symbian\Tools;
