Minor device class in discovery on 6230

I'm doing device discovery on a 6230. When I find another phone (a 6620), I get the correct major class (0x200), but the minor class comes back as 0x50 in the deviceDiscovered method of my discoveryListener.

This is odd, because the 6620 reports it's minor class as 0x0C and discovery on a 6620 of another 6620 returns a minor device class of 0x0C.

This appears to be non-standard behavior on the 6230 - has anyone run across it/know how to handle minor device classes on the 6230?

You should not relay on the classes anyway. Are you really, really need them?

I can work without the minor device classes, but using them will help me eliminate bluetooth devices that cannot possibly run my software.

I shouldn't be surprised, but returning non-standard numbers implies that the platform does not support JSR-82, as the spec specifically refers to the bluetooth baseband numbers defined by bluetooth.org.
