Downloaded 3GP video clip mystery

When users download 3GP video clips from my WAP sites, Nokia phones treat them as binary-note files rather than video files. Realmedia clips are handled perfectly, so it's not a network issue.

Help me understand why Nokia phones can create, send, and recieve 3GP video files but they don't recognize them when downloaded?

The same 3GP files play perfectly if I load them onto the phone using the data card.

Problem fixed. Turns out that the mime types were not properly set on my web server.

For future reference, put the following line in your .htaccess file

AddType video/3gpp 3gp
