    Hi,

I am using the RMMFController and CMMFDevSound classes to play audio. This works fine on the S60 FP2 SDK and has been successfully tested on the Nokia 6630.

The issue is that the 3rd Edition SDK doesn't seem to have the MMFControllerFramework.lib and MMFDevSound.lib which are required by these classes respectively, so this code can't be ported over to it.

    My questions are as follows:
    1) Does this mean that one has to only use the Client API for playing audio or is there anyway to get access to these libs?

    2) If not, then what is the procedure for creating and testing MMF plugins in the 3rd Edition?

    3) Also, the TMMFFileParams and TMMFDescriptorParams class required to add file source and descriptor sources to the controller seem not to be available in this SDK. So, if at all there is a way to use RMMFController, then what is the procedure for adding these sources to it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sameet.

Do u have the idea to convert From amr to pcm in symbian 6.1...
    There are two ways:
    1) CAmrToPcmDecoder
    2)CMdaAudioConverterUtility

    Hi Sameet,

I have noticed that the MMFDevSound and MMFControllerFramework are both present in the 3rd Edition Beta sdk. Have you tried copying these across to the 3rd Ed Sdk. I would be interested in knowing if this works as I also need to use MMFDevSound.

    Hi,

Thx for the reply, I had thought about doing this but couldn't, because of point 3 in my post. The SDK mentions removal of support for TMMFFileParams and TMMFDescriptorParams, which are required in my case.

However, if u do end up doing so, then plz do post the result, it wouls be very helpful to know.

    Thx again,
    Sameet.

I can confirm that copying across MMFDevSound.lib along with required header files will work, at least on the Emulator. At present I don’t have a device to test it on.

I copied the MmfControllerFramework.dso and related files from the UIQ 3.0 SDK over to the 3rd edition and that worked too. ;^)

    Take a look at http://newlc.com/S60-3rd-Edition-SDK...e-MMF-and.html

It should have all the classes you need.

    Hello, KlaarMobileEntertainment.
Could you tell us how to do this? For exmaple, how to use MmfControllerFramework.dso in S60 c++ 3rd SDK?

    Thx for reply.
