    I need to develop certain XHTML pages that will be supported on as many XHTML-supporting mobile phones as possible.

    Q1: Which flavor of XHTML should I aim at: "Strict", "Transitional"? Perhaps the standard definition for "XHTML Mobile"?

    Q2: Assuming I want to use white text over a table cell with colored background. Am I risking not seeing the text on some phones whose color support is weak? Is it a rare or common case?

    Any other tips for things to avoid in order to support the vast majority of XHTML phones will be appreciated.

    2: Color support should be OK for XHMTL, WML is black and white. However table support is a bit indifferent.
