hi friends,

Im trying to develop a controller plugin for m4v file. Currently im writing a format_decode plugin. But im not clear from where do i get the file pointer so that i can parse the header and retrieve all the parameters like the bitrate sample rate....

Also how do i select my source buffer size. Is there any sample code on Format_decode plugin for video files . Please let me know..

size of source buffer, you choose with capabilites with your demuxer buffer for track's... file opens on client side (if you use some MMF client engine), mmf server already has pointer on your file and return it nto your datapath object.
