How to know if the user have mms compatible handset or not

my this question is specially for nokia peoples plz do reply..

my question is this tht if i send mms to another user and if the another user doesn't have the mms compatible handset...then how can i update it in my memory tht the user doen't have the mms compatable handset so tht i won't mms him from the next time..?

At present there is no api support for nokia phones which will help u to do so.
