save energy with SMS

I would like know is it possible to make so that user of phone to record voice and then mobil phone with speach recognition sofware to transform speach into text and send record voice like SMS.

Doesn't it required more energy to do it like that? You have to record your voice; then perform speech recognition; and then sending it via SMS. Most probably, it will be long SMS (depending on the recorded voice) -> it means more energy consumed.

Did I misunderstand your idea?
