Network demo with wireless toolkit wont work on phone

I have installed the network demo from the wireless toolkit, and it works fine on the emulator but when i run the client on one real phone and the server on another, they dont pick each other up, does anyone know why this is, do i need to change any settings on the phone.

please help i have program, and used code from this example presuming it would work and when i tested my app it wouldn't work. so went back and put this example on a phone to find out it wont work. i would be greatfull if anyone has any ideas.
