It it possible to use carbide express to develop for N-gage (Symbian 6.1) platform? I know the IDE doesn´t support SDK 1.2, but i also heard that 2.0 can build for 1.2, is this true? If so, how can i configure carbide to perform such task?
Thanks

AFAIK, you can not use the target files generated by 2.x SDKs in N-Gage, at least resource files are not working there, also there are binary breaks that would prevent your applciation to work.

Understood, but don´t you think it´s a bit strange that Carbide.c++ express apears as a recommended development tool on Forum Nokia device specification page: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,0...l?model=n-gage
Thanks again.
Carbide.c++ works on S60 1.2. Specifically "Series60_1_2_CW".
Cheers,

The S60 1st Edition SDK 1.2 has been discontinued and is no longer available from Forum Nokia. Carbide.c++ Express Help/other material is correct in that the 1.2 SDK is not supported and hence we will not provide support around that. Carbide.c++ Express was incorrectly listed as supported in the device sections for all 1.2 devices, thanks for pointing that out, the error has now been corrected.
If you need to develop for 1.2 you can still use the 1.2 WINS SDK which is supported by eg. Carbide.vs.
