intalled application version information

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get the version information for an installed application?

My thinking is that this information is stored in the sis file that stores the uninstall information (\system\installs) since it is visible from the Application Manager.

What i would like to do is pull out this information via some API so that i can display it in the about box. That way i don´t have to update my applications resources every time i release a new version of the application, all i need to do is update the pkg file (which i have to do anyway).

Dependency is managed by the Application Installer, there does not seem to be an API to retreive the information.

u can get the version number from this file........c:/system/install/install.log

<applicationname versionnumber>
