which platforms actually support https connections?

i read from nokia web site that S60 platform 2nd ed. supports it.
does s40 support it? i have SDK for s40 2nd edition and it supports
https.

wurfl (wireless universal resource file) tells that neither s40 or s60 based
nokia phones support it.

which is correct?

WURFL is not correct, if it claims no S40 or S60 based phones support HTTPS.

In Uaprof you'll find under the - NetworkCharacteristics -> SecuritySupport the security protocols supported by the device.
eg SSL,TLS,WTLS

Hi,

I am having problems getting secure browsing, https, over WAP to work on my network for any of my Nokia devices, including the 6020.

Is there any special settings that need to be enabled on the Nokias so as to support SSL/https or if they already are configured & working for https then should they by default support https okay?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Does it also fail on non-Nokia devices or do they work OK? If also non-Nokia devices fail, then I'd ask the keeper of the WAP gateway (= the network operator/carrier).
