SMS delivery reports

Does anyone know whether it's possible to receive SMS delivery reports thru J2ME? Does the delivery report come back to the same port the SMS was sent, or is it sent through regular channels, or not sent at all?

Tried searching but can't find any answers to indicate a positive yes or no. My hunch is that it's not possible... but would like confirmation from someone, or perhaps a workaround.
