3200 blinks blue screen but will not power up

Hi.. my nokia 3200 wont switch on any more yet it's almost new!, it went flat last week in my girlfriends hand bag so I charged it up & now it just blinks blue screen for a second & go's back out. I have tried a battery from another phone & I have checked all basic stuff like connectors on the board & battery terminals etc but nothing I do helps. Has any body out there struck this before?. I have considered trying to reflash the telephone but im not sure if that will be as easy as buying the cable, probly be V-hard for a novice?. Any help would be much appreciated.... MATT =-)

no one had this problem?.. some of the questions getting answered in here are pretty technical but no one can help with a power on problem ?.. HMM

Hi matt29503! Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!!

If your's is a new phone and you have problems with switching on it, why dont you give it to a nearest Nokia care center and get it serviced? You cannot update the firmware of your phone by your own. This could be done by an authorised Nokia service center.

Thanks Gopal, its not new it's about 14 months old but it has hardly been used. It tries to switch on but only flases for a second then switches back off. Nokia care centre wanted $45 just to view the problem so I figured it was well worth trying to fix it myself before I pay the $45 just for a quote. I thought reflash was suppose to be fairly straight forward, DAMN!! owell.. Thanks for reply... Matt
