Nokia 6230i shuts down automatically..!!!!

I just bought Nokia 6230i...although I didn't put anything in it (mp3s, software,...etc).....It sometimes shuts down and restarts itself automatically , because of what does that happen? A virus? or the phone is faked and NOT original??

please help me!

Have tried locating at which point does the phones restarts?
Since yours is a brand new phone and it would be under warranty, I guess it would be better to go to a nearest Nokia care center and check it with them.

okay; this happened about 3 times while I was trying to start the camera or the video recorder...

another 2 times while I was trying to open a mp3 file.

Hi code001,

Just as a complement to what Gopal advised, Nokia 6230i is a Series 40 device and AFAIK there is no way to install and/or have a virus on it, only S60 phones have to consider this issue.

I would go the way Gopal indicated. Try to return the phone and get another from the store you bought it or send it to a Nokia Service Center.
