PersonalJava (pJava) is advanced Java for high-end portable devices such as Nokia Communicators. It refers to the implementation of PersonalJava plus JavaPhone APIs (API=Application Programming Interface). While PersonalJava provides more functionality than MIDP Java, drawbacks include increased memory and performance requirements for the device.
