How to get started with C++ and Symbian & Co...

Hey guys,

btw. I'm a newbie.

I have VC++ and the SDK for Series 60 installed on my sytem. I'd like to design Apps for the 7650... but how do I start?`

Where can I find a good Emulator? How can I use it?

I need good docus... where they show the first basic steps... for example for a "Hello World"-App!!!! Just something like "Symbian in 21 days..." *g* If you know what I mean!

Hi Sash,

The SDK interfaces with Visual C++ 6 and does contain an emulator so you can start development using your setup.

As far as the second question is concerned, I am afraid I wish it could be as straight forward as learning in 21 days. The SDK is fairly poor on the subject.

I would rather try to have a look a www.Symbian.com to see whether they have document/white papers on Symbian programming.

You will have to gather information from various sources I am afraid.

Subscribed to the Symbian news groups as well, it is a good idea... It is more active than this one. :o)
