eswt j9 patch on Nokia 9500 Communicator

with the j9launcher patch for eswt(eclipse.org/ercp) libs my java applications failed on startup :

the message is :
Program closed
Program :j9 VM thread
Reason code : KERN-EXEC
Reason number : 0

no logs are generated in logs/j9vm.

I have installed the recommended patch for eswt (http://www.forum.nokia.com/s80cdcjvmpatch) ( the Armi version ) and even a non-eswt app failed.

so the questions are :

- is someone that can explain this error?

- it is possible to launch eswt applications without this patch?

The patch creates some trouble with the older java virtual machine(j9) versions.
The firmware versions with the old VM is 04.44, 04.51, 04.53.
