Fax problem, Hyperlink Terminal - Nokia 6510

I cannot seem to get the Fax program working.
I am using a PIII 1GHz Noebook with IR to the 6510.

After fax send the 6510 calls the number but the call does not go out. all I can hear is something like, "Do-Do-Doot, Do-Do-Doot" and nothing else.

When receiving a fax, the 6510 will answer after two rings, but the computer will not detect the call.

Hyperterminal also does not work

Similar FAX receive problem with 6310/IrDA.
Phone rings, computer detects ringing and answers, but after approx. 1 minute the call is dropped. Fax service tells "receive failure" :-(.
Seems like a firmware bug?
Fax sending is OK.

do you have the possibility of sending faxes turned on with your GSM provider? If not this could be your problem. This sound you can often get when you don't have data transmission open on your SIM. That also goes for the FAX transmission.
