Firmware upgrade Over The Air (FOTA)

Hi folks,

I've just come across this news and thought you'd like to know about it. I cannot believe that Nokia finally will give firmware updates to developers ...but just for newer devices.

"S60 3rd Edition feature pack 1 introduces new features such as Firmware upgrade Over The Air (FOTA) and a new open-source browser. FOTA enables software upgrades to be performed over the air, initiated by either the user or operator."

Im..FOTA is ofcourse a great news! I guess along with S60 3rd Edition feature pack 1 phones some Series 40 3rd Ed phones would also support FOTA. I have seen in this link that Nokia 6131 will also support FOTA - Firmware update over the air

Hi there!

I got myself a 6131 and it supports FOTA, so, is there already a
firmware update? My version is 3.50

If there is a newer version,
- Where do I get it?
- How do I get it on my mobile?
(haha, download, I know, but is there another possibility that isn't GPRS,
via PC for example)
- What's the size of such an update?
(if there is just the option to download via GPRS directly to mobile -
I don't want to get poor just for downloading an update)
