Help on making wap site

I am trying to make a wap site that allow people to download pictures through wap. I use <a herf> to give the link of the picture file in gif, jpg and bmp and wbmp format. But it doesn't work on nokia simulators. Is it because nokia simulator doesn't support the format or my method isn't right.

Correct WML treats <a href> as a link, the browser will not interpret it to mean download something if it doesn't recognise the extension.
