What all is required to develop a multiplayer mobile games

Hi.My boss says that there are 4 or 5 other things other than the platform(which ofcourse is required) to develop a multiplayer game. When 4 people are playing a game on their own hand sets, then every player's move should be visible to every other player and things like that. What is required for that?Is it a part of the OS or is it something else??? I am really new to J2ME.Someone plz help.or atleast show me the way...

Well it depends if its over bluetooth or not, over bluetooth for 2 players polling is not an issue but for 2+ players polling is an issue. I'd suggest waiting for SMS' to get around crappy polling! boo for polling! And you get better responses when you say stuff like "its for my game that im planning to release GPL 2.0.. even its not true" :P
