Using the timer function, it is theoretically possible to do simple animation, by advancing onto another card between each 'frame'.

However, on the 7110 a 'connecting to service' screen appears between each card as the browser loads up the next card / image, thus spoiling the animation effect.

Is there any way around this?
Does anybody know when WML 1.2 will be launched or what extra features this will offer?

Try putting all the frames in the same card. This is what I did and it seems to work ok.

    try using a pre-loader / spacer.

i.e. download all your images in the first card and then call them again - animate / switch between them in later cards.

if u dont want anyone to see them while they are downloading create a pre-loader img for users to view whilst imgs are downloading or a spacer img (blank img with a single dot at the top and bottom).

    .

file size may be slightly bigger - but not much.

hope this helps (i was stuck on this too for ages!)
