Not really sure how to define this problem, but I sometimes receive an sms (with LESS than 160 chars total) that will be split into 2 or 3 seperate messages.

AFAIK these messages are sendt from a Nokia 5xxx something (the one with thermometer etc)

What's up with this? anything I can do? (either to my 6310 or to my friends 5xxx) ?

    Hello!

Sender may add one or more Unicode character to the message. Even if there is only one Unicode character the whole message will be coded differently and only 44 characters are available per SMS message. So if he/she write a message including 89 characters (one Unicode character) it will be splitted to 3 separate concatenated SMS messages.

Sender should check that he/she is using GSM character set.
