Java? technology enables efficient application downloads to mobile terminals, as well as provides a standard programming language for third parties.
Nokia believes that in the year 2002 we will see the mass-market adaptation for mobile terminals supporting Java technology: Nokia alone intends to deliver tens of millions of terminals with Java technology by the end of the year (2002).

Nokia CEO Jorma Ollila said that Nokia will ship 50 million Java phones in 2002. The other manufacturers are following the suite, but naturally with much lower numbers.

Imaging 7650
Fashion 7210
Communicator 9210i
