SIP error 415

Hi,

I am getting error 415 i.e. Unsupported Media Type

Can someone please help ?

I guess, for SIP3.0, I will have to use installers / uninstaller of SIP2.0 to get a simple SIP applicaiton to work.

Where can I get the necessary docs or is there any other means by which I can get my SIP application to run ?

Any idea why I could be getting error 415 i.e. Unsupported Media Type ?

this is what i did when i faced this error....

Error 415 Unsupported Media type:
check whether the media type specified in the plug in is the same(.rss file).

hi..
what is the content type that you have set for your application?
415 means the content type you set is not supported....if you are working on a message application, set the content type as "text/plain"

I didn't get u. Can u be a bit more specific. I'm trying the s60 example application SIPExample. The application returns 415 when i try to send INVITE to a friend of mine. But she is able to send Invite to other SIP users.

Hi,
i think its some to do with the registration plugin in the ecom sip plugin. could you please change the plugings folder of yours by ur friends folder. ( have a back up of your too)..it would be in /system/libs/plugins..
I have not tried it in symbian 9.1, when i faced some related problems as yours in FP2 this is what i did as it seemed to work fine.
