AlarmShared.lib missing from S80 DP2.0 SDK

The library AlarmShared.lib is not included in the above mentioned SDK. This library is needed to be able to use the TASShdAlarm class, which is needed if you want to set or retrieve alarms.

Using RAlarmServer as an alternative (which according to the SDK documentatin is depecrated) doesn't work either (this crashes the emulator and doesn't set the alarm on the actual device).

Is it possible to get these libraries (ARM UREL, THUMB UREL and WINS UDEB) from Symbian or Nokia? If so, how to go about it?

Since there is no reply to my previous question my guess is that the lib file will not be made available.

Did anyone manage to set an alarm on S80 DP2.0 SDK? If so, could someone please provide some example code?

We are no longer developing S80 these libraries will not be made available by Nokia if they are not available now.

well
AlarmShared.lib is depricated lib for the communicator sdk S80_DP2_0_SDK. so check the sdks that are avaliable prior to this release. So install 6.1 sdk of communciator and check whether this lib is provided in that sdk. I guess u need to have a devkit licence if u doesn't get this lib in the 6.1 sdk.

Unfortunately not. The new alarm server functionality is only available on the S80 SDK (6.1 SDK uses another way of setting alarms using RAlarmServer, and, although still available, that doesn't work anymore on S80).

So, it looks like if we want to have alarms on S80 for developers, the only way is to develop our own alarm server :-(
