i am trying to go to the link you have given but i am not able to open it i don't know what is the problem ,anyway i am using Carbide C++ so can you tell me exactly what problem you are facing while running the code

u can just enter the site name newlc n search for the examples for splash screen n u will get d example named fixed or animated splash screen in tht u have to download one .zip file n thts it .THen try to run tht sample code in carbide

ya i downloaded the zip file of Splash example and i tried to compile it in carbide.c++ and i am getting this error

is it the same error you are getting

hi,

vivek u cannnot use the same example in 3rd edition and compile and make it work in EAK2 .. As the EntryDLL is changed..

and other releated to uid generation changes in this platform.

if u want to remove this error u can remove the files which r being created by running the code warrior. JUst keep 3 files in the carbide c++ i.e Splash.mmp , icons.mk, bld.inf

mateen can u plz give me some sample code for the running splash screen under the conditions i run(i.e using carbide c++ in s60 sdk 3rd series) i wld be delighted if u provide me some guidance or can help me in searching the code for splash screen

i tried to run it and it is getting paniced.What i think is the application is for 1'st edition and i don't think it will run using 2'nd or 3'rd edition SDK's because i tried to this for some other applications too which were meant for 1'st edition using my 2'nd edition SDK and carbide and inspite of no error i was not able to see any o/p so i think that is where the real problem is ,but i am not sure
