mms animations how do they work?

hi. i am new to all this and program in actionscript, javascript, html. i would like to create the same effect as an animated gif and use it for the nokia 7650 to be sent by mms. is it as simple as making an animated gif and beaming it in the phone? or is there something more involved. is there any documentation on the size of the jpg to be beamed to the phone, the dimensions? i see that when i take a photo in the phone and email it to someone, it appears in the email MUCH bigger, and is displayed in the phone as screen size. any help or links would be appreciated.
