SMS recieved in my application and inbox or one of them

Hi all,

I developed J2ME application that recieves SMS on specific port, but when tested on Nokia N90 the SMS is recieved in the inbox and the application.

Sometimes it's recieved in the inbox only or the application only.

I want to ask how can this occure .. I am using special port that differ from the inbox port .. how can the SMS appear in the inbox.

Hi Ahmed,

is your "sending" implementation part developed in "server mode" or in "client mode"?
make sure that receiving port number is not: 2805, 2923, 2948, 2949,5502, 5503 ,5508 ,5511 , 5512, 9200, 9201, 9202, 9203, 9207, 49996 & 49999 (taken from jsr specification),

can you tested a sms from normal handset to J2me application ??

I am successfully done send receive using specific port, but for that sender also use J2me application

i want to source code only receive sms from normal handset .

hey can i ask how did you do your send/receive.. did you use push registry?.. im trying to do the same thing.. but my application doesn't work when transfered to the mobile phone..
