Other carkit for Nokia 810 Contact Download application?

Hi,
Nokia has a Nokia 810 Contact Download application
which can be installed on Symbian OS phones to sync.
phonebook with Nokia's Bluetooth Carkits (616,810).
I'm not sure if the communication protocol is opened
so that others can also develop carkit work with
this application. Does anyone knows what kinds of
Bluetooth profile it use or if any license should be made
with Nokia for that purpose?
