Alphanumeric originator addess

hi,

I am using nokia cimd protocol to send sms to smsc. I am using nokia' c++ application to send sms.

In that I am setting the paramter for alphanumeric originator address and when I try to send the sms , I got the error 321
'Incorrect alpha originator address usage'

I am setting the parameter 27(alphanumeric originator address)
to 'abcd'

can any one help me ?

Are you sure that your carrier allows you to do that?
