SyncML API and S60 3rd edition?

Hi

SDK documentation tells that SyncML API's have been removed for S60 3rd edition: "SyncML APIs ... have been removed." (Introduction to S60 3rd Edition >> S60 Platform 2nd Edition And 3rd Edition: Differences In Features)

However, SDK documentation says that SyncML API is supported: "The S60 platform has a SyncML client agent and a synchronization engine. SyncML APIs providing access to synchronization services are available to developers." (Developer Guides >> S60 Platform Basics)

From SDK I can verify that headers and libraries really aren't there anymore. Does anybody know something more about SyncML API's in S60 3rd edition?

Hi,

SymcML libraries are indeed gone from the base SDK. However, you should check S60 3rd edition extensions plugin package, it cointains now also SyncML stuff. If that package is not enough, you should try partnering with Nokia.

i'm trying to understand how to write a data provider plugin for 3rd ed, in order to add new sync features.... maybe this was also your problem?
In case, can you please tell me how did you solve it? Not the source code, but where did you find documentation... partnering program was an help?
