SIP send messages directly

Hi,

i read the nokia SIP docs, but still haven't understood how can i send messages directly from one phone to another without using a proxy and registry server between.

The SIPDemo example from WTK 2.5 is easy to understand. You send a message to a specified ip/port and the other client is listening to this port and receiving messages. But how do i realize this on real phones, there i don't have an IP number to which i can send.

So, it's impossible to send messages directly on phones.

Means, SIP applications on phones need a SIP server infrastructure.
