    Hi all,
I have a 3rd edition application which I'd like to launch as freeware in the market but:

1)Freeware application signing requires to send it for testing in a testing house
2)I'd like to see how it works in a real device before sending it to a testing house(for obvious reasons...)
3)I don't own any PRO edition GUI which supports on device debugging
4)I have aquired some UIDs from the unprotected range from Symbian but they don't seem to work (device doesn't agree to install the app)

So, what steps should I follow in your own opinion?
I'm sorry if the answer is obvious but I really can't see it.

No need to say sorry. I had the same problem too a couple of months ago.

    1. You need to obtain developer's certificate from SymbianSigned.com. It allows you to test your freeware in a real mobile device.

    2. After finish testing, you can send your freeware to SymbianSigned.com. They will test and sign it for you freely (well, actually a company called CellMania will do the testing).

    3. Wait for about 2-3 weeks and you will receive your freeware application signed!

Note: The reason why you can't install application is most probably because you don't have developer's certificate yet. Apply one (see step 1 above).
