Upload applications to 6310i via IR

I read that you're able to upload applications to your 6310i via IR (See http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/1,,1_0_55_10,00.html#6310i), but I haven't found a way to do it. I've just made some test MIDlets I wanted to try out on my phone, and I tried to send the jar and jad files to it, but that didn't work. How do I do this?

Hi,

You can't install MIDlets straight from a PC to 6310i via infrared port. You must use the Nokia Developer's Suite where is a Deployment tool which is used for MIDlet uploading via infrared port and via serial cable. The Nokia Developer's Suite can be downloaded from: www.forum.nokia.com -> Java -> Tools and SDKs -> J2ME MIDP Tools.
