Visual Studio 2003 SP1 release!

Hi,

Surprisingly, Microsoft seems to have released a Service Pack for VS 2003 (yes, the old one, not 2005 so no typo here). In case you are interested, download via this link.

At this time we do not have resources to verify SP1 any time soon but if someone out there decides to upgrade it would be really great if you were kind enough to report on what effect - if any - SP1 has on Carbide.vs. But pls note, at this time there are no guarantees though that Carbide.vs will work with SP1.

I have at least a couple of independent observations that Carbide.vs works - at least reasonably - with the recent Visual Studio 2003 SP1. The update procedure used at least in one case was:

- uninstall Carbide.vs + Help
- install VS 2003 SP1 (installation asks for the original installation kit so make sure you have access to it)
- install Carbide.vs 2.0.1 + Help

Note that no formal testing has been done yet at this time but it looks good.

If you encounter any issues, pls report them here.
In particular it would be interesting to hear of the SP1 improves in any way Intellisense behaviour?

I couldn't even install Carbide.vs 2.01 for .NET 2005. Should we need only .NET 2003? Please provide me the assistance in installing.
