sip messenger requirements in j2me???

hi, i m developing a sip messenger in j2me. plz guide me what are the requirements for build it e.g any 3rd party API's, sip servers(which one), and some idea how it will comunicate. if i want to expand it to MSN, Yahoo messenger, thn what will i have to do.

plz if u have some relavent source code, project and dosumentation...plz tell me abot it that too.

does any one know about the sip server which supports the instatnt messaging. i m currteny trying to configure bea sip server but not yet succeded because not much help is available there to configure it for instant messaging. so any of u know such sip server whcih support instant messaging and easy to configure...plz tell me abot tht.

Ayaya sip server

and for VOIP u can user astaric, SER, etc.

i tired to configure bia sip server for instant messaging, but failed to do so, actuly its very differnet area then development. Now in coming weeks in m going to Voip in j2me becaue sip server for voip is being configured here by experts. Man its all experts work to configure such sip servers.

if u get some new info,,,plz let me know,

Thanks for the reply. Just to give you information that I downloaded ondo sip server from internet (http://www.brekeke.com/products/products_sip.php). There is nothing much to configure in this server but the problem I am facing is that I can successfully run the "GoSip" demo provided in the wtk 2.5 while running the two emulators and server on the same machine but I am unable to establish a sip session between two emulators if the emulators and server are run on different machine. Client fails to register to the sip server in this case. Yet I need to test this demo on actual device. For this, I must put my machine in the public domain. So let's see...what happens.

Can you tell me how Sip UA can communicate with the other messengers like yahoo, msn, etc. If you have any info then pls share with me..

i have heard about nokia sip server emulator which comes with the sip API...does anyone know about it and if yes then how to use that sip server emulator of nokia.

I can only say that S60 3rd Ed SDK docs that comes with SDK has chapter "SIP Developer User's Guide" which outlines using sdk sip emulator,
